Photographer Djuna Ivereigh spent months documenting the full eruption cycle of Mt. Merapi, on Java, Indonesia. In a slideshow of 25 of her photographs, she describes the geology of the volcano, the ancient culture of those who live near the mountain, and suprising parallels between the scientists studying Merapi and the village wizard.
